As much as summer-lovers don't want to admit it, autumn is on its way. The nights are drawing in earlier, bringing a crisp chill with them, and we have crunchy leaves and conkers falling from the trees! But you know what? There are lots of things to look forward to... which is why we've dubbed it "Awesome Autumn", and here are a few things you can embrace at this terrific time of year:
Not only are the leaves going to change to that classic autumnal golden brown colour we know and love, there's something mighty satisfying about crunching leaves under your feet, and kicking them into the air as you walk (not that we encourage or endorse the kicking — sorry, our lawyers made us say that!)
It's time to rock the warming fruit crumbles and pies after dinner — we're all for it... and, with a scoop of Ben & Jerry's on the side, you can dive right in, letting us cool those first few tongue-tingling hot bites.
Our special edition flavour, Pumpkin Cheesecake:
That's right! This squash variety has become quite the food and beverage celebrity! We've been making this flavour across the pond for a few years now, and thought it was about time you guys had the chance to get a first-class ticket to pumpkin wonderful too!
Playing conkers never gets old! Careful who you challenge though; those hardcore conker players will know the old "oven and vinegar" trick to make their conkers invincible.
Warming by the Fire:
As those nights draw in and the evenings get darker, it's time to curl up and get cosy on the sofa, with a good movie or book... and maybe a cheeky hot chocolate too!
Bring on the pumpkin carving, crazy costumes, copious amounts of sweets and fear-inducing films.
