For all of the die-hard peanut butter fans out there: we get you -- there’s nothing quite like the salty, nutty taste of peanut butter. That’s why our Peanut Butter Cup ice cream is loaded with those spoon-bending Peanut Butter Cup chunks, only to be with surrounded with more peanut-y flavor with classic peanut butter ice cream.

Even with all of this deliciousness already packed into the pint, we think there are certain special occasions (like every Friday and Saturday night, for instance) that it’s okay -- perhaps necessary -- to add a lil' something more to turn your Peanut Butter Cup ice cream-eating experience into a flavor explosion extravaganza.

Here are our favorite ways to enhance this classic favorite:

1. Monkey Around

We can all agree that peanut butter and bananas were meant to be together. Some of our favorite ways to pair bananas with Peanut Butter Cup ice cream include slicing and dicing a bit of fresh banana on top, or you can even jazz it up by adding some warm, bananas-foster style topping to your scoops of Peanut Butter Cup.

2. Go Nuts

What better compliment to peanut butter cups than their not-so far away ancestor, the peanut? Add a few salty, roasted and chopped peanuts to the top of your next scoops of Peanut Butter Cup to add an additional crunchy, texture and another level of toasty, salted peanut perfection.

3. Get It Twisted

You know what else pairs almost seamlessly with peanut butter (and chocolate)? Pretzels. We suggest crumbling your favorite crunchy, salty pretzel snack over the top of your Peanut Butter Cup ice cream. Or, if you're feeling adventurous, you could even replace your spoon with a pretzel -- we know, pure brilliance.

4. Three Words: Chocolate Sandwich Cookies

If you've been using chocolate sandwich cookies as a device to eat peanut butter from the jar, then this one's for you. Try chopping up your favorite chocolate sandwich cookies and using them as a topping, or you could even sandwich Peanut Butter Cup ice cream in between two sandwich cookies for a Peanut Butter Cup Sandwich Cookie Sandwich. Things could get messy -- but it'll be worth it .

5. Bring on the Fruit

In some parts of the world, Peanut butter and jelly never seems to fall out of style, and for a good reason. To bring this flavor combination to your ice cream routine, throw some fresh raspberries on top of your Peanut Butter Cup scoops -- or you could even get fancy and make your own raspberry topping to drizzle over the top like the expert foodie that you are.

6. More Peanut Butter Cups

Wait, what? More peanut butter cups on top of Peanut Butter Cup ice cream? It’s not for the faint of heart, but peanut butter cup lovers can appreciate the different textures and flavor profiles that crumbled room-temperature peanut butter cups add alongside their frozen peanut butter cup counterparts.
